I’m a Consultant Geriatrician and work at Rotherham General Hospital & Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. I run specialist private clinics at Circle Thornbury Hospital and Spire Claremont Hospital.
With over 20 years of experience, I offer in-depth, consultant-led assessments that address the full spectrum of age-related health concerns. I provide expert diagnosis and care for older adults with memory concerns and complex health needs.

How does it work?
As a geriatrician, my assessments aim to understand, diagnose correctly, and offer a clear, practical management plan tailored to each individual. What I offer –

First Consultation : Home or Clinic
At the first consultation, arranged within 24 hours, I meet the patient either at home or in the clinic. I make a holistic assessment by taking a detailed history, including memory concerns, medical background, daily functioning, social context, and input from family or carers.

Detailed Physical Examination
I conduct a structured physical and neurological examination, including cognitive screening, gait and balance assessment, frailty scoring, and systems review to inform diagnosis and holistic care planning.
03.
Cognitive test & Other Investigation
If dementia is suspected then, Full cognitive and other functional tests are performed. Relevant blood tests, ECG and brain imaging are also requested to exclude a treatable cause and to reach a final diagnosis.
04.
Understanding the Diagnosis and Next Steps
After explaining the diagnosis clearly, I work with you and your family to create a care plan that meets your needs. We also talk about future wishes, including appointing a power of attorney and decisions about treatment preferences, to make sure your voice is heard.

After receiving a request or a referral, I will speak to you to discuss options and will help to make a choice about the place of assessment.
Most of elderly patients prefer home assessment due to health issues. It also helps me in assessing in own environment which is more relaxing and less stressful. It can also be arranged within 24 hours.
Home Visit Consultation
You can be seen at home. I will visit you as convenient and will make full assessment. I may be able to see you same day and send a report to the GP.
Hospital Consultation
You can choose to be seen at Claremont or Thornbury hospital in Sheffield. Appointment day will depend upon availability of consulting room.
